To be honest: i never was a big fan of mermaids. Besides Disney's The Little Mermaid and some characters from One Piece, i never really cared about them. But a few years ago (long before joining deviantArt) i tried to create some mermaid comics as some sort of webcomic, but it never succeeded, because no one knew i even existed. xD It was a very fun and spontaneous idea to participate in this way, mostly influenced by my dear friend @Elythe. And yes, i will use all of these mermaids as new OCs. As a young boy my father affected me with his fascination for nature and animals. The ocean was always like a big miracle in my eyes, creating so much diversity. Though his passing really hit me hard, i started this challenge anyway to keep this fascination alive. In this following gallery i want to share some thoughts about my character designs throughout this May. Hope you enjoy! Princess Goldfish was inpired by my father's goldfishes, so you can see her as a little tribute. Honestly
