Fanart of the PS2-Game "Kya: Dark Lineage"When hanging around wiht friends lately, I remembered this game from my childhood. I never had it but a dear friend of mine played it while I was playing "Jak & Daxter". It was a Jump&Run called "Kya: Dark Legacy" and sadly I see so few fanarts of this great character I literally could cry.
Maybe if I'd play the game now I'd find it totally bad if it wasn't good enough to get a big fanbase after all, but from what I saw when I was younger, it was absolutely brilliant.
After meeting this friend of mine again lately, I decided to give the original to her to remind her of our old times. It's just an awesome game!
Does anybody here know "Kya: Dark Lineage" or even played it? What do you think of the heroine Kya?

Ah, Kya... one of the most fun and underrated/obscure games i've ever had the pleasure of playing. It certainly had its problems, but darn did it look nice, were the animations smooth, were the backgrounds pretty and was the combat satisfying. overall, it's an absolute pleasure to play through spare for the occasional annoying section, but despite that it's one of my favourite 3D platformers ever.
You did an absolutely awesome job at drawing Kya here, and there's nothing else i can say about it.
Regarding your questions about Kya herself, i really like her. I'm a sucker for dreadlocks (even though i have curly hair myself) and i'm not ashamed in saying that i think girls with blue hair look attractive, but her hair isn't the only reason why i like her. She's a great fighter and a pretty good hover boarder in the game, but sadly the general voice acting in the game isn't too great, and the same goes for the script. still, i find Kya to be a pretty cool character.
Also, defeating and exorcising all the Wolfun in the game unlocks bonus art showing Kya's past, from her birth to school to general shenanigans with her half-brother.
