Apadine - Self-Confidence

My OC Apadine

IMPORTANT: Yup, of course, she's not really fat. Just a little chubby. She almost looks "normal" but I'm just not used to draw girls who are not extremely thin. Even though, just a little more weight is enough for people to say the sentences in the background!)

Well, in the last months I've spent a lot of time on thinking about all this anorexia-problem lots of young girls have. I've been reading storys, doujinshis, real-life-texts... I've been talking to people who keep discouraging themselves because they think they're too fat and ugly and nobody likes them. For some of them it seems to be the only solution to starve themselves almost to death and if they eat anything at all, this food needs to get out the same way it got into the body shortly after.
I feel like I can't take this anymore. It makes me sad to hear this, read this, talk to people about it and so I made a little drawing. At first I just wanted to draw my OC Apadine again, since I decided to make her a little chubby so the proportions don't look too weird with her big breasts. Now with this chubbyness her design looks better and somehow she seems to get more self-confidence because of something that usually discourages many people in her situation.

Then I thought it was about time to make a stand.
Voices in the background: "Nobody would ever love a girl as fat as you" - "You have to loose weight because you're too damn fat!" - "Every girl is always prettier than you'll ever be!" - "Stop eating! Stop eating! Stop eating! Stop eating!" - "you're not what society wants you to be" - "Just look at the mirror! You're ugly and so damn fucking worthless."

But Apadine doesn't care. As you see, you only need to start feeling confident about your body. It's like she said: "Sorry, but I don't care. Call me what you want, but I like my body."
